Mark Morris named hockey coach at St Lawence University
Mark Morris, former hockey coach at Clarkson University (1988-2002), was named coach of the hockey team at St. Lawrence University. Morris was previously Head Coach at AHL Checker’s since 2015. Prior to that, Morris was Assistant Coach of NHL’s Florida Panthers.
Morris had eight year’s prior experience as Head Coach of the Manchester Monarchs, an associate team of the Los Angeles Kings, where Morris’ record was 338-224-66. Add to that his Clarkson coaching record of 306-156-42, and he became the first coach in history to have more than 300 wins as coach at both the collegiate and professional level. Morris replaces outgoing coach, Greg Carvel, who left SLU for UMass.
