Ogdensburg airport no longer serving Florida flights

Ogdensburg airport will no longer be the home of Allegiant Airlines flights to Florida, which was announced October 15, 2020 due to falling passenger numbers, which can also be attributed to the COVID-19 virus consequences.

Taxi Zero had been taking passengers to Ogdensburg almost on a daily basis from Canton, NY and Potsdam, NY and from the Enterprise Car Rental location, also in Potsdam, NY.   As a result of reduced air travel, taxi service in Potsdam, and taxi service in Canton, NY have been reduced.

OBPA board chair Sam Burns said that the Ogdensburg airport will use the data from the successful run that Allegiant Airlines enjoyed prior to the COVID-19 pandemic in order to attract other airlines to service the Florida routes from the Ogdensburg airport.
