Breeze Airways comes to Ogdensburg airport

Breeze Airways started serving the Ogdensburg airport in September, 2024 with service to Washington, DC, Dulles, (IAD), once-per-day. Breeze operates an A220-300, in a 3-2 seat configuration that can service up to 137 passengers. The seating is assigned randomly at check-in, but so far, the flights are nearly full, so seating is not a problem.

Getting to and from the Ogdensburg airport if you don’t have a vehicle can be a challenge. There is a Hertz franchise at one of the local car shops in Ogdensburg, but you will have to get from the airport to the auto place. There is also a Hertz car rental in Canton, NY and an Enterprise car rental in Potsdam, NY. Both will require a taxi ride to get from the airport to the car rental place.

There are no regular Uber taxis or Lyft taxis operating at a consistent schedule in St. Lawrence County. Taxi Zero, in Potsdam, NY, operates on a reservation system, and is available at other times when available. Frary taxi, and Jim’s Transport, both are taxis in the Ogdensburg area, are also available.

The hotels in Ogdensburg include the Stone Fence hotel and the Granview hotel. The hotels in Canton include the Fairfield Inn operated by Marriott, and the Best Western University Inn near St. Lawrence University. The hotels in Potsdam, NY include the Clarkson Inn, and the Hampton by Hilton.
